Hardip Devsi - Head of Cladding Remediation Unit Building Standards Division | Directorate for Local Government & Communities

Currently, I’m the Head of the Cladding Remediation Unit for Building Standards Division within the Scottish Government.
For over 5 years I also worked with the British Council where I was part of a group of facilitators who employed a radical approach to leadership development. The programme utilised aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Performance Coaching, Psychology, Neuro Linguistic Programming, and African philosophy.
Prior to all of the above I used to be a teacher in secondary schools in Glasgow, and before teaching I was a Consultant in the private sector working in the avionics industry in Los Angeles and in Scotland.
Alastair Ross - Head of Public Policy (Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland), Association of British Insurers
Alastair leads the Association of British Insurers’ engagement with the Scottish Parliament, the Welsh Parliament, the Northern Ireland Assembly, and their respective governments. Alastair joined the ABI in March 2016 from Pinsent Masons LLP where he was Director of Public Policy for the law firm.
Professor Douglas Robertson - IRPM Property Factoring Course Creator
Douglas is a highly skilled social researcher long specialising in housing policy evaluation. Douglas taught both housing studies and sociology at the Stirling University. His most recent research commissions cover assessing the impacts of private tenancy law reforms and its regulation, the community impacts of short-lets and making the case for further tenement law reform. Throughout his 40 year career he has retained a long-standing interest in tenements and flats and the challenges presented in ensuring their proper on-going management and maintenance. Given this background he was commissioned by the IRPM to write the professional course in Property Factoring.
David Reid - Deputy Chief Executive – James Gibb Residential Factors.
Immediate Past President of the Property Managers Association Scotland.
David has been working in the property management industry for most of his working career and has had early career periods in the NHS and commercial property management. David successfully owned and managed a factoring business from start up in 2003 and was responsible for his company being the fastest organic grown company in the history of residential property management in Scotland. Life Property Management was acquired by James Gibb Residential Factors in 2019 and David retained equity in James Gibb as well as remaining as an Deputy Chief Executive of their board. He has experience with vast roles within the industry such as President of the Property Managers Association Scotland, 2018 to 2020, which is a reflection on the wealth of knowledge he has in the industry. David is a member of the Scottish Parliaments Cladding Remediation Group, working with various stakeholders in the industry to seek a solution to the cladding crisis. He has a clear focus on the highest service delivery and has been involved from start to end on some of the largest, most technically built developments ever built in Scotland.
